Director of Engineering

About the Role

We are looking for an engineering leader to help build AI-powered products across AI infrastructure, inference optimization, and AI-generated animation.

This is a hands-on role where you will design software, write code, mentor engineers, and help establish our engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of software engineers.

• Own the end-to-end delivery of products from architecture and design through production deployment.

• Design and build scalable backend services and AI applications.

• Develop products in AI infrastructure, inference optimization, and AI-powered animation.

• Integrate and optimize modern AI models and APIs.

• Recruit and mentor engineers.

• Work closely with the Founder on product and technical direction.

Minimum qualifications

• 6–10 years of software engineering experience.

• Strong knowledge of Foundation Models, especially open-source diffusion models such as WAN, FLUX, SDXL, and related architectures.

• Working experience with model pruning, quantization, attention mechanisms, knowledge distillation, and related model optimization techniques.

• Working experience in one or more of the following: model performance tuning, kernel optimization, distributed inference, pipeline parallelism, tensor parallelism, or compiler/runtime optimization.

• Strong Python or C++ programming skills.

• Experience building backend systems or AI-enabled applications.

• Proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and leading a small team of engineers independently.
